history
Having been in operation since 1923, Roth's Wine Bar represents a slice of Mudgee’s history. Roth's Wine Bar began in 1923 when Bob Roth left Craigmoor (now Robert Oatley Vineyards) at 22 years of age to do his own thing. He purchased the historic terrace that houses the wine bar and originally set it up as a general store that sold, among other things, wine.
Roth’s Wine Bar is particularly well known for being the base for the Home Rule Band who performed at the bar one night a month for 20 years. They were often joined by local poets and impromptu performers
The new owners, Kirsty Stokes is conscious of the significance of the history of Roth's - Together a veteran of the food and wine industry, Roth's has taken on a new lease of life.
